I grew up in Maine, amidst the charm and reverence of New England woodworking. My father was a home builder and carpenter, and he taught me the value of a joyful and diligent work ethic while producing an excellent product. He also taught me how to be a great husband, father, and businessman.
The name “Blackbird” is a remnant of the not-quite-true claim of my grandfather who always told me my last name, Letourneau, means blackbird. I started doing carpentry in 2012, and have been involved in the many facets of the trade from framing to furniture to cabinetry. Seeing a great need in 2018 for quality trim carpentry done honestly, Blackbird Finish Carpentry was born.
